Just So You Know, We See You.
I’m not quite sure when it happened. Maybe it was a gradual thing. Maybe it happened all at once, on a Wednesday, when I wasn’t really paying attention. But I know one thing for sure, I became invisible. Not literally, of course, but invisible nonetheless.
Women, ‘of a certain age’, seem to be not really seen anymore. Perhaps society deems us uninteresting. Perhaps we get lost from everyone, even ourselves, as mothers, wives, daughters, caretakers, maids, chauffeurs, chefs, income earners, the list goes on and on. Not of course, that any of these things are bad. In fact, I am most often proud of being all of those things. But, do you ever stop and wonder, who am I really, who am I without those definitions? Where did that spark, that spunk I had, go? Does anyone see that part of me anymore?
I’m here to tell you, we see you. Your sisters in crime. Your girlfriends. We see you as more than any of those defining things. We see your sharp humor, your unending charm, your gorgeous beauty. We appreciate you as an individual. We know your struggle. We have your back.
Call us up. Set up a date. We see you. Hang with your girlfriends and find yourself again...
